Dear Pete,

Having arrived back safely in Cambodia I would like to thank you for organizing my operation at Samitivej Hospital. I was very impressed with your response to my initial enquiry. Within hours you provided me with full information on the treatment and your recommendation of the hospital to enable me to make a decision on how to proceed. On arrival in Bangkok the hospital provided transport both from the airport and later to the hospital. The following day I was seen by the specialist who proceeded with my treatment within 2 hours of my initial examination. This was followed immediately with the hernia operation.

I must say that the care and attention that I received was second to none, the hospital was spotlessly clean and I was treated in the best way possible. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hospital for its care and professionalism, and yourself for the efficient way in which my booking was handled.

Once again, many thanks.
Best regards
Robert

Evening my friend Pete

How are you and all things beautiful in Pattaya Thailand? All is well here in downtown sunny Gold Coast QLD (not so sunny for the past 3 days we finally are experiencing some rain!

I think I may have some business for you over the next 12 months Pete from eyes, nose, necks and Teeth braces!!!! I think you could be busy hosting a few of my friends!! As the weeks go by my eyes are looking more and more fab and as more send more of my friends see them they are all wanting the same!!! I feel that I keep repeating myself but seriously Pete they are still improving!! My new nickname at work is "BRIGHT EYES"!!!

Can you give me some information on braces for teeth and I was wondering if you could oblige me with some photographs of my favourite hospital inside and out. I have been trying to describe it to my friends but we have nothing to that standard in Australia that I have seen to compare it with!!!

I think most of my friends will want you to organise external accommodation and you to organise their hospital transfers rather than staying in a resort with all other patients that have had surgery and they are all so impressed that our Doctor only works on faces!!!

I am considering having some more work done myself next year I don't know what the procedure is but if I lift my skin up towards my ears in front of my ears it lifts out my jowls at the corner of my mouth - my cheeks are fine its just the lines from my nose down to my mouth and below - I don't know if I've explained it correctly but if not I can show you when we meet for our reunion!!

Anyway enough for now hope you are well and keeping busy
Cheers for now
Your NEW friend
Marje't!!!!

Kia Ora Andrew & Oe! (two of our friendly staff in Thailand)

It was my intention to email you once I got back to NZ to THANK YOU so
much for your hospitality recently, but time seems to have slipped away
before I have had time to sit down & email you.

I am very appreciative of the time you both took to ensure I made my
appointments at the hospital, but also for the extra time Oe spent with
us, showing us the sights (shopping, shopping, shopping.....& vegetarian
food!) of Pattaya.  As well as the miracle of having my 'sight' restored, my
trip was made even more worthwhile by meeting such a lovely person like Oe.
I fully intend to return to Thailand with my family, & hope we will be
able to catch up.....perhaps for vegetarian pad thai at the 'blind massage' restaurant.

I have made sure I tell everyone I meet about your company, & the
services you offer. I have had an enquiry from a lady who is VERY INTERESTED
in coming to Thailand for gastric bypass surgery. I am not 100% certain of her
circumstances, but I know she has looked in to having it done here. She mentioned
the cost in NZ was something like NZ$20,000 which is not something she can afford.

If you can email me with some general info, possibly an approximate cost, then I will pass
it on to her.  I will get her email address as well, then you will be able to deal directly with her.

Also, I met a lady from Australia on the flight coming home to NZ who was having to have
some dental work done.  She said she was quoted Something like $2,000 Australian dollars.
Anyway, she has a friend who lives in Thailand (Koh Samui......or something like that), &
she thought that she could probably have the dental work done & holiday with her friend
or around the same price as just the dental work alone.  She gave me her email address &
asked if I could get someone to contact her regarding prices etc..  I promised her I would,
so possibly another client for you. I will email her just to tell her that I have passed on her
details, & that she can expect someone to contact her.  (She was on her way to NZ for
a holiday, so might not be back in Aussie yet, not sure if she would clear her emails before
returning home).

There was something on the TV not long after I got back to NZ about going to Thailand
for surgery.  Of course it focused on the negatives (unlicensed surgeons etc..), so some
people think it's all like that in Thailand. WE KNOW BETTER!!

Must go now, hungry children to feed!!

And here's a letter received recently by the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, Pattaya, Thailand regarding Sam who became very ill while in Thailand. It's from his daughter Kath and was addressed to Sam's doctor at the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital

Just thought I would drop you a line to let you know how my father is getting along.
As you know (Sam), he survived and enjoyed the flight home and spoke very highly of the
service he received at the airport and from the flight attendants.  He said you were a
marvelous escort and gave him all the reassurance he needed.  He was most grateful
for your service.

He saw his GP the following week who could not believe the excellent treatment he had
received from the hospital staff in Thailand - he thought the quality and standard of
the paperwork you sent over with my Dad was the best he had ever seen - he is used
to having the details translated when other patients come home from abroad with
medical notes, so to get them in English to such a high standard was a delight.

His GP kept him on the same medication but told him not to drive until he had seen
a Consultant at our local hospital.

He saw the Consultant on Tuesday of last week who again, could Not believe the
quality of the service my father had received.  He was also equally impressed at
the standard of the surgery performed by yourself.  He was happy for my father
to steadily increase his level of exercise and has allowed him to drive.  He has however
restricted the heavy gardening and will not let him play golf for at least another
couple of months - much to my Dad's disappointment - I have pointed out to him
that it is a small price to pay!  The Consultant has also told him he can fly although
we are aware that the insurance premiums will probably cost a fortune.
In one respect, I am glad he was taken ill in Thailand as I am sure he would not
have received the high standard of treatment at home.

I am taking them away for a holiday next week in this country and hopefully, my husband
and myself will travel back to Thailand at the end of October to finish off our Honeymoon.
We love the country - you should be extremely proud. I cannot begin to thank you enough
for saving my father's life – we will be eternally grateful.

Please would you pass on our sincere thanks and gratitude to your
Fantastic team of nursing staff at the hospital and the admin staff in the offices on the
ground floor.  It was a memorable time and one we will reflect upon for a long time

With our very best wishes and kindest regards,
Kath Blundell (daughter)

And this from Gary - originally from San Francisco.

For more technical dental work I use the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital Dental Clinic. They charge $15 for cleaning less my BPH discount and an extra $5 for x-rays. I have a dentist there who has been with the hospital for over four years and she is great.

The BPH Plan is $40 a year and $12.50 for renewal. It gives 50% off on rooms, 20% on services and 10% on medication. When I had bronchitis, I stayed in a VIP corner suite with living room, huge bath, kitchen and dining room and a wraparound deck all for $38 a night. The food was great and I had four meals a day plus three snacks. Doctor and nurses were always present and I felt the personal attention as opposed to being just a number in the States.

"I am so pleased with the results thank you all once again"
I would like to thank the Doctor and Staff who looked after me last June 2004 when I had breast augmentation and upper and lower eye lids done. They healed beautifully and I am so pleased with the results. Thank you all once again.

From DAVID C. FROM ENGLAND

"THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH "
MY WIFE AND I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR MOST DEEP APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE TO THE DOCTOR, SURGEONS, THEATRE STAFF, I.C.U STAFF AND 4B WARD STAFF. DUE TO THEIR MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS , SURGICAL SKILLS AND SUPERB AFTER CARE TREATMENT, THEY ALMOST CERTAINLY SAVED ME FROM BEING INCAPACITATED OR EVEN WORSE. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

Attention of Dr Prasit, Dr Thitima and all the Lovely nurses from ICU and 6th floor

Paris, 22 March 2005

Dear All

I have been back to France for one week, and I am just finding now some time to send you some of my news.

After leaving Pattaya Hospital for Bangkok on Monday 7th of March, I stayed there one week more to recover and get the right condition to be able to fly.

The 12 hours flight back went off peacefully. My medical escort gave me sporadically some oxygen, but it was more for my personal comfort – I think I would have survived without…..

Back in Paris I visited a Gastroenterologist who found out you made a wonderful job in Pattaya Hospital – I knew it already. I am still at home this week to recover completely, but hope to start my job again next week.

I want to thank all of you again for the very efficient and professional job you made for me in Pattaya Hospital. Actually you saved my life and I cannot forget it…

As I saw somewhere written in the Hospital you will remain forever as STARS in my mind:

S for the Satisfaction I had to be in your professional hands.
T for Thanks I have to say again and again for all the care you had for me.
A A because I Appreciate a lot my stay on the 6th floor after some time in the ICU. The kindness and charm of all the lovely nurses was certainly a major reason for that…
R R for your sense of Responsibility.
S S for the Safe but efficient way you brought me fit again.

In order to keep in mind some of these moments, you will find here enclosed some pictures of mine and of my stay in both Hospital. The most emotional was certainly the “birthday party” I will always remember my wake up on March 13th, 7.30 with the nurses bringing a cake with 4 candles (even if I am a bit older…).

I will always remember my stay in  the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital and will be pleased to see (some of) you again in Thailand or France if life brings us the opportunity.
